On Thursday, August 22nd, we invite you to come and experience Toronto’s only Eau-de-Vie dining experiences featuring chill vocal deep house sounds by our beloved DJ TUDOR.

Be our guests at Rakia Bar (1402 Queen Street East, Toronto) for a mouthwatering Eastern European inspired dinner and cocktails starting at 6pm. Reservations can be made by calling 416-778-8800.

Beginners can start with the $5 Slivovitz special, the brave can choose from the largest selection of fruit Eau-de-Vie in North American, while the adventurous can indulge in one of the many rakia cocktails.

RAKIA BAR SCHOOL OF SPIRITS

SUNDAYS, 6PM-8PM

School ought always to have been this much fun. Rakia Bar offers weekly tutored tastings with spirits expert Dusan Varga. The tastings explore the histories and methods behind grain and fruit based spirits as well as the effects of the barreling process on each. Eight samples of premium spirits are paired with individual tapas plates meant to complement the profile of each drink.

The school fee is $100, tax and gratuity not included.

Groups of 6 or more people receive a 10% discount on the price.

BOHEMIOAN MONDAYS

MAY 27th and EVERY MONDAY STARTING JUNE 3rd

Hosted by jazz vocalist Laura Marks, this Monday night open jam has been bringing out some of Leslievilles' most talented musicians.
With a changing core of 2 seasoned session musicians, the jam is open to vocalists and instrumentalists from 8pm to 11pm.
Main courses are offered from our dinner menu at half price from 6pm to 8pm.
Every week 1 beer, 1 red wine, and 1 white wine are on special for $5 each for the entire evening.
The feeling is truly Bohemian, and there is nothing to match the ambiance in Rakia Bar once the music starts.

SINGER/SONGWRITER TUESDAYS

Every 2nd and Last Tuesday of the Month

Continuing Rakia Bars' love of local music, artist in residence, Sue Seguin brings us a night featuring emerging singer/songwriters that always leaves our guests inspired by the next generations' talents. There is a decidedly folksy, soul-filled vibe to the evening.
The music starts at 9:30pm and lasts until the music stops.

DEEP FRIED NIGHTS N' BEER

$20 Prix-Fixe Every Wednesday Night and $5 Premium Beers

Mid week is a wonderful time to start loosening the belt straps before the weekend. Rakia Bar celebrates this hump-day every week with a menu based on our love of "the deep-fried," and beer. Every weekly menu is unique and offers our guests a choice of 3 starters and 3 main courses, while imposing 1 fantastic deep fried dessert on them. There is always a veg, a seafood, and a meat option available in both the starters and the mains. While the inspiration for the night was born in the fryer, only 1 component of each dish is fried, the rest is phenomenally healthy.
